Lightweight Cell Hood
In 2006 Yunca was engaged to redesign and lightweight the traditional cell hoods used in smelters including NZAS and Dubai's Aluminium smelter (Dubal). Coupled with offering three different insulating solutions, Yunca now has the contract to repair, design and manufacturer cell hoods for NZAS.
Cathode Bars
Yunca Engineering has undertaken research and development on cathode bar performance and improvement since the 1990s. The work is on-going.

Comprehensive inspection, servicing, and repair of Dog Magic conveyor trolleys and associated components.
Aluminium Slitting Machine
Research, development and design of an aluminium slitting machine to supply bus in 6m lengths x 394 mm deep x 151 mm thickness, within tolerances of +/- 1 mm.
Carrier Modifications
Developing modifications to carriers to increase longevity of operating times between service checks.
Rod and Yoke Weld
Yunca Engineering repair and replace rod-to-yoke welds for Aluminium smelters. These are designed to deliver zero failures Boyne Aluminium smelter and NZ's Aluminium smelter.
